Program Summary

The DISC administered Property and Casualty Master Insurance Program was established in 1975 to provide a long term, stable market for Diocesan and Invitee participants. During this period of time, the program has successfully moderated the effects of numerous price and coverage fluctuations in the commercial insurance marketplace. In the 1970's, the issue was inner-city property and civil unrest. Subsequently, there have been numerous liability cycles in the commercial marketplace that led to either affordability or availability issues in such areas as athletics, elder care, uninsured motorists, etc. Throughout, this program has consistently maintained both affordability and availability of coverage for its participants.
