Catholic Diocese of Cleveland -- Master Insurance Program

The Diocesan Master Insurance Program was established in 1975 to provide a long term, stable market for Diocesan Parishes, Institutions and Invitee participants. Since this time, the program has successfully moderated the effects of numerous price and coverage fluctuations in the commercial insurance marketplace.

In the 1970's, the issue was inner-city property and civil unrest. While more recently there has been a steady increase in weather related property claims. Since the 1970’s there have also been numerous liability cycles in the commercial marketplace that led to either affordability or availability issues in such areas as athletics, elder care, employment practices liability, etc.

Throughout this time frame, The Master Insurance Program has consistently maintained both affordability and availability of coverage for its participants.
